Our Roots
The story of Rena Ware began with the dream of one man. Fred “Pop” Zylstra came from Holland to the United States to pursue his American Dream. He established Rena Ware in 1941, selecting water-less cookware as the flagship product to propel his new business onward and upward.
Rena Ware grew at a rapid rate because of the values that our Opportunity stood for and the overwhelming acceptance of our products by customers around the world. Honesty, integrity, hard work, persistence, determination, and pride were ingrained into the Rena Ware business plan that formed the essence of the Rena Ware spirit.
In the 1950s, Rena Ware grew nationally from coast to coast, and in the 1960s expanded internationally under the leadership of Bill Zylstra with the opening of markets in Europe, Australia, South and Central America, and Asia.
